| 554017 | 2007-05-28 20:22:00 | Hello everyone, Today i tried installing an Hp printer/scanner and got an error message saying i was missing "slbcsp . dll" and "sccbase . dll" . Screenshot ( . photobucket . com/albums/c364/Mindrestx/untitledsy3 . jpg" target="_blank">i31 . photobucket . com) Hp 1410 printer/scanner I downloaded both dll's I needed and moved them to the system32 folder, I still got error after that . I also tried registering the dll's using regsvr32 and kept getting the error "Failed- The specified module could not be found" . I did a little more research and found I'm not the only one having the same problem with HP's printers, yet i found no solutions to my problem . I was able to install the printer by making a copy of the CD to a folder on my desktop and using the windows hardware install app, sadly my scanner isn't functioning . | 554018 | 2007-05-28 21:23:00 | Is XP (If u have XP) up to date. It sounds like whatever the update for Cryptographic service is, it isnt installed. |

| 554019 | 2007-05-28 21:33:00 | I was able to fix it by exporting the cryptography providers through regedit from a second PC I'm fixing up for a friend . I really don't mess much with regedit so all that stuff didn't really make much sense to me, doing a little research cleared up my confusion . :nerd: Thanks everyone . :cool: |
