555026 2007-06-01 08:07:00 Haven't posted here for a while, got a real annoyance at the moment.

I've got a DVD containing data, not a movie or anything but when I put the darned thing into the drive the computer acts as if I had put nothing in. If I put a DVD movie in there it plays fine so why can't I access the data on this particular DVD!?

Cheers.

555027 2007-06-01 08:29:00 Maybe the data DVD is a dual layer dvd and your drive doesnt read dual layer.

I m just guessing here..... I could be wrong. Please correct me if I m wrong.

555028 2007-06-01 08:34:00 Two questions for ya.

Are you able to open up other DVD data discs with Windows Explorer?

Have you tried the DVD in another computer?

Ok, its not a dual layer dvd, do as radium said. Try opening it in another computer.

555032 2007-06-01 10:16:00 You could try booting into safe mode and see if your comp can recognize the DVD then.
Press F8 on boot up to get into safe mode (incase you didn't know that)
