| 554839 | 2007-06-01 00:59:00 | Hi people, I wonder if you could help me here with this little humdinger. Using excel 2007 when clicking on a previously saved spreadsheet icon, whether it was made in office 2007 or 2003, excel opens up but does not display the spreadhseet. To get it to display you must click the restore down or restore up button the sheet displays. This is happening on my machine here at home. I did look through some other posts about unchecking the ignore other applications but that has not worked. I run XP SP2 home edition, AMD Athlon 64 3800+, one gig of ddr ram, 512mb radeon graphics card etc. and my browser of choice is opera. I believe my machine should be up to the task of running excel flawlessly...right? Are there any suggestions ? Thank you in advance for any help you could offer me. |

This leaves me to think that it could well be my machine not wanting to interact with office 2007 in a friendly way, maybe. I should therefore scour the wider internet for answers. Thank you all the same. |

| 554841 | 2007-06-04 02:16:00 | Try This Open spreadsheet/worksheet so that the whole worksheet can be seen (maximize), then close Excell (not the worksheet but the program). Then reopen the worksheet hopefully it will remember its last state Open the worksheet by double clicking on as opposed to stating excell and using file open. What I think has happen is that you have closed excell whilst this spreadsheet/worsheet was minimzed and its remembered its last state, therefore each time its opened it does so in a minimized state. |

The issue I am experiencing it's actually not an isolated one, as I've learned by googling the net. In short, the spreadsheet opens up...but does not display the contents (the last inputed data, to be specific). So, I have the excel sreadsheet in front of me but, alas there is no data showing in the bottom field. I have tried to wait up to 5 minutes - a heck of a long time by all accounts for an application to do "it's thing" - but nothing would happen unless I clicked on a task on the spreadsheet virtually "reviving" the app. This makes me think there is a micro-freeze issue here, something I have experienced recently with my browser Opera when I click on hyperlinks...and this has happened since I have purchased and installed the very expensive office 2007 "upgrade"...hummm So, where to from here? |

I had a similar issue, not as bad though. Have you tried unchecking your "check for .... on startup" options? |
