| 555671 | 2007-06-03 09:37:00 | Hi all I have reinstalled Vista and now get the following error when trying to install software "1607 unable to install installshield scripting runtime". Have done a search in google and have found several possible fixes which I have tried but still the error persists. Fixes seem to be mainly directed for XP and w2k. Cannot find a fix specifically for Vista. Any ideas would be greatly appeciated as I do not want to reinstall again. cheers Unimatrix013 |

| 555675 | 2007-06-04 01:32:00 | Try here. support.microsoft.com Trevor This fix is for xp, tho worth a try :2cents: Did you do an upgrade install of vista over xp?, this could be causing your problem (possibly the fault was pre-existant in xp, and this has carried through), may be why there's no apparent fixes for Vista. If so, most people reckon the best way to avoid problems is to do a clean install (of Vista). :D |
