| 555580 | 2007-06-03 06:27:00 | An idiot sat on my laptop in an aeroplane and it now has 15 or so vertical lines (10mm thick) and 40 horizontal lies ( 60mm thick) meeting at one point on the screen. Is she fixable at the computer shop or is she a throw away job.?? I guess insurance will pay but I would prefer to gt it fixed. Cheers KT |

| 555583 | 2007-06-03 07:44:00 | I have just replaced one on a 2 year old laptop that was an insurance write off.A new screen fitted by the original importer was about $800.00,I imported a new screen from the US for $400 NZ and fitted it myself, not too hard to do,you just need to be happy with pulling plastic covers to bits and understand simple electronics. If you want the screen supplier web address let me know. good luck John. |
