| 555566 | 2007-06-03 06:04:00 | Hi, I have an Altec Lansing CS21 (2.1) speaker system currently hooked up to a PC with onboard sound. I want to install a better sound card with at least 5.1 sound. The problem is I would like to keep my current speakers and add a centre and rear speakers separately. Does any know if this can be done? The PC company is telling me I need to buy a complete 5.1 system. Thanks | hsvman12 (12360) | ||
| 555567 | 2007-06-03 06:51:00 | The soundcard should support 5:1 if the system is recent You cant convert a 2:1 to 5:1. The PC company is right, you'll have to buy a 5:1 speaker system. |
