555465 2007-06-03 01:51:00 I haven't had a psp for a while but from memory this (seamonkey420.tech-recipes.com) is pretty similar to what I used to do. CYaBro (73)

555468 2007-06-03 12:47:00 Handbrake rocks, but Ive only used the command-line version in Linux. Im positive theres a windows GUI now. x264 works brilliantly as an encoder!!

Anyways, for simplicity & ease-of-use, you cant go past Nero Recode. Quality isnt _quite_ as good as x264 encodes Ive found, but on a screen that size you're not likely to notice the difference so dont worry ;) Nero Recode costs thou, although I think there's a free LE version from the Ahead website

555469 2007-06-03 14:04:00 MediaCoder (http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/) is excellent, and will convert almost anything into almost anything else. It's also free.

It has a whole section dedicated to PSP conversion.

555470 2007-06-03 14:18:00 It looks like h.264 is about to become the defacto video codec for the web since Apple has done a deal with YouTube where by all video uploaded to YouTube will be encoded using the h.264 as opposed to Adobe Flash and all existing videos on Youtube will be re-encoded into h.264 winmacguy (3367)

555473 2007-06-04 00:35:00 I use Allok MPEG4 converter, but it isn't free.

Converts most formats to any video format.

For the PSP/Iriver/Ipod/Zune/Apple TV/Zen/Xbox

And WMV/Mov/H264.

And a few audio formats.
