| 556244 | 2007-06-07 03:08:00 | You should just be able to burn the .iso (image) file to a cd and boot off the cd. You really can not go wrong with Gparted |

| 556245 | 2007-06-08 01:25:00 | well most often I run ghost from dos as I'm usually ghosting someone else's pc as a backup before attacking some problem on it......(I only do this if the problem looks major it's a 'just in case' thing so that I can revert the system if necessary) .....anyway most of the time I'll ghost to another hdd it's very quick to do that and easy....however I have on many occasions used cd's and never yet had any kind of hassle with ghost refusing to write after a few cd's.....very odd.......as for programs at startup well when using ghost in dos obviously that wont be having any effect whatsoever........sorry I cant really suggest anything much cept perhaps try a different cd drive ? Thanks again. Your advice much appreciated. I'll give it one more try! Regards - Krad |

| 556247 | 2007-06-10 08:58:00 | PC World Forums I used Partition Magic to set up my computer for dual boot . Linux and XP Home. No problems in making new partitions , resizing them , making a swap file partition . Don't understand those who say use other programs.. Even a 76 year old can do it! |
