| 556050 | 2007-06-04 11:56:00 | Hi...Just started up my machine and up popped a message from Zone Alarm saying they had a download. That was OK with me but it brought up the Z.A. sign that says Allow or Deny...and that's where I goofed. I carefully marked Deny and added Permanent. My problem it to reverse that so that ZA can get in. I went to the ZA Program Control page and found the ZA program at rhe bottom of the list Zone Alarm Client ?? ?? Zone Alarm Updating ++ XX (the Plus signs should be tiks but my keyboard does not have tiks) I can change them but underneath there are mostly warnings. Would it be a mistake to change all those symbols to tiks? I would be most grateful for any help....I've had a great run with ZA and would like to know that it's working properly.........Ken |

| 556051 | 2007-06-04 12:55:00 | if unsure change them to question marks so you can decide next time if you want to allow or deny it permanently when it asks you I do this when I can't identify the program I'm trying to block/unblock when simply looking at the list.. |

It doesn't really matter though as you have only denied the update part of Zone Alarm. And as it is a firewall, what the hell does it need to update for anyway? |

| 556054 | 2007-06-05 00:39:00 | If in doubt, open Zonealarm go to Program Control>Programs and delete the entry you don't want. Next time that item runs, ZA will prompt for instructions again and you can have another crack at getting it right.... :) | johcar (6283) | ||
