| 556949 | 2007-06-07 10:02:00 | Got two PCs.. eg PC1 and PC2 connected through a switch. PC1 has a USB printer connected to it and the printer is shared so PC2 can have access to it as well. Every thing works fine until PC2 is shut down. When restarted.. PC2 can not print and I have to look at the shares on PC1 ( \\PC1 ) and connect to the printer again and after than it works fine until I shut down PC2.. and do the same thing when i restart it again. ..any suggestions??? | ronyville (10611) | ||

I'd be inclined to set it up so it points to: \\192.168.100.1 instead of \\PC1 See if it helps :) PC1 is 192.168.2.2 and PC2 is 192.168.2.3 I do use \\192.168.2.2 to look at the shares just as u mentioned. Both PCs are running XP Pro. |
