| 556679 | 2007-06-06 07:57:00 | I want to upgrade from Thunderbird 1.5 to 2 but when I do my folders and mail all disappear and I just can't work out how to get Thunderbird 2 to look in the right folder. If I uninstall Thunderbird 2 and reinstall Thunderbird 1.5 I get everything back as before. So what's going on? I win WinXP 2 and ZoneAlarm. I have two email accounts which presumably account for the subfolders 127.0.0.1 and 127.0.0-1.1 | bpt2 (6653) | ||
| 556680 | 2007-06-06 10:54:00 | to find your profile type in %Appdata% in 'Run' it will take you to application data. then click on Thunderbird and the click profiles folder and look for a folder with random text and numbers such as r85znodr.default and copy and paste it to a somewhere then install Thunderbird 2 and paste the folder back in the profiles folder if not already there. If you type in %Appdata% in 'Run' it will take you to application data. then click on Thunderbird and click profiles (the configuration settings file not the folder) it comes up a text document as: [General] StartWithLastProfile=1 [Profile0] Name=default IsRelative=0 Path=C : profile location Either type or copy and paste the location of your profile folder in 'path=' and change 'IsRelative=1' to 'IsRelative=0' then save and Thunderbird should access the right profile next time it opens. |

| 556682 | 2007-06-06 13:53:00 | Somehow all fixed after uninstalling, regcleaning and reinstalling. Don't ask me how or why. | bpt2 (6653) | ||
