thanks for that looks like the 8600 it is. I can get another 8600gt for cheapish would it be worth looking at a SLI set up? |

IMO SLI with 2 cheap cards will cost more and be less powerfull than a single high end card... but fine if you can't afford a single high end card and get one now and another 6 months down the track but by then new stuff is most likely out... but I would wait for DX 10.1 as that will need another hardware change :rolleyes: |

oh ok then, doesnt matter now as I just found out the other 8600gt i thought i could get 1/2 price is a xfx version not gigabyte so wouldnt of worked anyway. On a positive note I just installed my new 8600gt and so far im really impressed for the performance and general display qualities despite its very average reviews and that its a middle-lower end card. The HD picture on my 32" tv is not too bad as well. |

Good to hear :thumbs: you will have to let me know how it handels DX10 games if you can :D (I am looking at a DX10 can now to last till the next gen but I possibly might get an 8800GTS :D) |
