Eg: $ sudo rm -r /ho<tab>/spe<tab>/Int<tab> Thank u thank u, its gone finally! Hmm Kvirc install has finished, lets see if it installs/works! I'll have to find it first... |

| 557346 | 2007-06-11 09:51:00 | Right finally found Kvirc and in it now. (Had to log back into Kubuntu). Yeha! Now I have to figure out how to configure it lol. Its got more options than Mirc. I'll have to test the modem tomorrow, to see if I can get on the net somehow, after I connect! Thanx again for the help folks! |

You don't have to switch to KDE to use KVirc as it should run fine from Gnome. It is not appearing on the Gnome menu because it is part of KDE (technically). Try starting it by going ALT-F2 and entering in kvirc. I am taking a guess that 'kvirc' is the launch command ... You can make your own Gnome menu entry for KVirc too if you like. |

| 557348 | 2007-06-11 10:42:00 | Yup Alt F2 worked. Only thing I have to figure out now, is how to make Kvirc pick up my outside ip address, NOT my LAN ip.. And how to identify in it.. It doesnt look ike it was made for Austnet. Altho, its got Austnet servers in it. Umm the install created a shortcut on the desktop. I'll try Gnome now with Alt-F2 and see if it works :) |
