Just in case some one is interested, a friend suggested I open the too-big-for-Excel CSV file and cut it in half with a text editor. So I've used NoteTab, copied half and saved etc.(And just discovered that I can start to highlight the beginning of text, then move to the other end and control/lt click on it and all the inbetween is highlighted,phew) Then just renamed the txt file from the save to CSV and it opens nicely in Excel now. Can have both halves of the file open and the search window will move between to the half I've selected. Marvellous. |
