Put hijackthis in its own folder run it again tick these entries and tick fix checked. Close browser/s

O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Reader Speed Launch.lnk = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe

Uninstall ALL versions of Sun Java. The link is in my sig below. Its now up to 6 update 1.

It could be the mouse, the MS mouse I had, didnt freeze but it kept turning itself off, so it went in the bin. Got another mouse it works fine.

Maybe as far as malware goes but it looks like a total nightmare to me.
Masses and masses of unnecessary clutter.
