His 100+ emails are incoming and they can stay there as i am not that patient a person (took me over an hour to explain to him why the : was above the ;) The emails he sent did eventually get thru, he att. quite a lot of photos so thats prob why they took so long. He also is not a very patient person so probably went off line the second he hit the send button. Another Q........ My sister sends out att. everyone I spoke to has said the same thing ..... When they open her att. they come out as multi mime format etc ... when I opened one of them it was like she took a screen shot of her email page and sent that to me, quite strange .... She is worse than my father so I give up trying to explain things to her but .... is there anything I can do on my end to get her emails coming to me correctly? Yes and No. I take it that "att." is a file attachment? So if your Sister sends an email with a xxxxx.pdf file to you can you open it? Your sister may use Works and sends you a xxxxx.wps file and you do not have Works. Please explain what is attached. I would like to know what file extention. The three letters after the "." EG .pdf, rtf, gif, tar, zip, doc, rtf, txt., htm for example. I take it that we are talking about a file attachment here? If I use Powerpoint to create a presentation and Email this to you it is likley to arrive as sweep.pps or sweep.ppt |

I think I need to take the computer off both my father and sister and lock them in a steal enforced room and send the key into space where it will hopefully get burnt up by the sun or sucked into a black hole. Shall I tell you the story of my mother and the cell phone I gave her ...... Here it comes ..... She has just learned how to text but still wont use spaces.instead.she.uses.full.stops..I.dont.know.wh y.because.I.have.shown.her.how.to.do.it.properly.n umerous.times. The other day she somehow got it stuck on searching and couldn't use it so my son had to remove the battery for her to get it back to normal. At least once a day she sends me blank texts and occasionally sends texts to landlines. When I mentioned to her on the weekend (because she was letting my nephew play with it) to be careful he didn't go on line cause it would cost an arm and a leg ...... she freaked out at the thought of a phone going on the net and now thinks every time she pushes a button shes going on line..... I then went home... I really think I have learned my lesson. I need to stop talking to my family members completely. Is the steal enforced room a room that could be stolen but will not be? Or possibly a room encased by steel? |

Shes trying to forward me a sports draw attachment but all she ends up sending me is an email she got from jo blogs saying blah blah blah I have attached the draw, but there was nothing there. Sometimes it comes up in multi mime formatting, my computer doesn't recognize the document to open it so I rename it and open it in Word or whatever and it comes up as multi mime formatting, sometimes I can read some of the email but yeah can be pages and pages of crap. There was this one email she sent me that was an HTML doc and when I opened it instead of a sports draw it was a screen shot of her email box ... I could see what folders she had and how many emails in her trash can, I could see the email she had received with an email attached but obviously couldn't get to it as it was just a screen shot???? she had tried to send me the draw earlier but I told her it was coming out all crappy so I asked her to open the att, save it into her documents and send it that way. I have a sneaky feeling she didnt... I know it sounds strange but I can open att from any other person so I'm guessing its not me???? I think Ill just ask her to stop sending me stuff. |
