557502 2007-06-09 04:58:00 I have just brought a PCI Adaptor to connect my modem with the computer wirelessly,I'm running windows 98 and I have installed the adaptor and the adaptor picks up the signal and talks to the modem and the signal is good,But Internet explorer wont connect to the internet ,I've tryed changing the settings ,But won;'t even connect using a land line either? wher it did before,I've even reset the modem,But nothing works koreyw (12391)
557503 2007-06-09 05:23:00 So, I take it this PC isnt the main PC for the Internet??

And what else are you using?? A wireless router/modem or AP or something??

Does the PCI adapter say it works with Windows 98?

So, is this a DSL modem? If so, it should have a configeration page. Try going to 192.168.1.2 or 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer.

557505 2007-06-09 14:27:00 my one is 10.1.1.1 - it depends on the router and setup.

have you run the "internet connection sharing wizard" and/or the "network setup wizard"?
