557409 2007-06-08 23:43:00 When my computer was replaced recently I got the guy I bought it from to copy my emails onto a CD so I could import them into the new computer. He told me all I had to do was choose import in the file menu but every time I choose to import the pst file I get the following message: "File access is denied. You do not have the permission required to access the file E:Outlook.pst".

Any ideas on how I can access these emails? If I had known there would be a problem I would have just emailed them all to my Gmail account but it's too late now as the faulty computer has been reformatted and all the data deleted.

What I usually do is just copy the .pst file into the directory where Outlook stores the default ones (Something like C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Local Settings\Applicaiton Data\Outlook), and rename it to overwrite whatever one Outlook has put there. It always seems to work for me.

557412 2007-06-09 01:56:00 I knew if I asked 'somebody' that 'somebody' would know what to do! That worked a treat, I just copied them into my documents and then imported them from there and they came through just fine.

Thanks for your help.
