| 558447 | 2007-06-12 10:16:00 | I just made the mistake of buying a Linksys router (model WAG200G) and setting it up is a nightmare in XP pro. The manual is something like 900 pages on PDF with no index, so have to grind my way through endless pages... the 'wizard' is even worse and doesn't explain any of the steps, keeps freezing and the website is useless. I also tried Xtra but their instructions are very basic and generic. I have an old Dynalink router with a LAN set up in my network connections already, so I'm thinking I don't need to change those settings as they work. Have gotten as far as setting up the new Linksys router through the admin panel and the internet light goes green (instead of red), but when I try to load an internet page it immediately comes up 'unable to connect...' So- does anyone know the correct settings to put in or even willing to steer me in the right direction with it? |
