558422 2007-06-12 09:04:00 Hello members
I have been looking for an image viewer for a while. Firstly I have been using fax and picture viewer from XP for years with a stint of Picassa. Picassa seems not quite right, though it has the import possibility from the USB drive(or flash, or any other).Somehow I never warmed up to it. Lately I have been trying Irfanview. I guess it is somewhere between the two mentioned. Is there such a prog that is slightly "better" than Irfanview(not in speed), more in things like the zoom, and import.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks
NT

Or mebbe Xnview (perso.orange.fr)

I will check out the trial versions and let you know
though not sure yet if Polyview has a trial time or not?

Trial time doesn't expire and remains fully featured. ;)

FSviewer is the closest yet!
Not to sure with Polyview, still I will try them all.
One is for certain, IrfanView which I had loaded some days ago is not making in to the top two. It is fast and simplicity is the key for that!
Thanks a lot guys!

558428 2007-06-12 19:09:00 Irfanview didn't make the cut for me either..it was bully-ish and took control of - and associated itself to things I did not want.

Ridded of the sinister program, I went back to Picasa2

558429 2007-06-12 20:16:00 Did you try Maxview (www.faststone.org) from the faststone site?

I never got the hang of it, but in many ways it's closer to an enhanced pic/fax viwer than the picasa type proggies.

Settle down, you're not dealing with your State Department :D

Options - Set File Associations - Clear All but the install would have asked.

That's what happens when you blindly click "Next" when installing a program . IrfanView has always politely asked which files the user would like it to be associated with and does not take them over unless requested .
