558068 2007-06-11 07:05:00 I think Ive used it before, but I have no idea what it's called.

What it does, is for example..

www.google.com

With this addon, it will automatically show that as a hyperlink, so I can just click and it will open in a new window, rather than copy+paste into url bar. It's a lazy thing, but when you browse forums with a lot of links that aren't "linkified" it's annoying.

Hope that makes sense.

EDIT: and after posting, I just realized this site automatically links the links. Most sites don't.

558070 2007-06-11 07:14:00 Have tried searching there, but found nothing.

www.gamespot.com (yes, I know, it's doing it here and now) but it doesn't do it over there unless you put tags.

Look at the first link there, it's not hyperlinked.I think in that case the site wants to help prevent hotlinking, as per their policy here (www.gamespot.com). As said, it's a setting managed by the forum admins - I find it to be rare.

Nope, that only works with already hotlinked links.

And thanks Greg, I didn't know that. Guess I chose the unlucky forum to join. Oh well...I still could've sworn there was an addon that hotlinked anything starting with www.

Thanks anyway.
