558055 2007-06-11 01:25:00 Hi I have found Vista fine but recently caused it to stop working possibly due to a dodgy program installation or the program wasn't compatible. I couldn't repair the windows explorer file so was able to install another copy of Vista on my other HD and transfer all my data fron the old installation to a partition. I then deleted as much as I could of the old installation and reinstalled Vista. I then deleted the copy on my other HD so ending up back where I started. Except for when I start my PC, I get a choice of two Vista to pick from. I will always pick the first one as I have deleted the other. How can I get rid of the two choices now?
They stay there for 30 seconds if I don't pick.
Thanks,

558056 2007-06-11 01:51:00 I don't know if it is the same as XP but you can try.

Goto your Control Panel and go to System. Go to Advanced tab and under Startup and Recovery click Settings. The first option should be Startup Options. Untick the first option which is 'Time to display list of operating systems.' Now that would only work if you don't have to choose the other Vista option at startup. If you do have to choose then do this:

Click Edit and remove the line of Vista you don't use (very important).
