2016-02-10 00:00:00 | I had to reset my router and lost my wifi connection to printer. I uninstalled and reinstalled and after much struggle got a test page to print. Success. :banana I thought.:waughh: next day no connection. Fiddling around with settings I denied access to everyone bar the owner. NOW it wont recognise me as the owner or administrator or user!! I unistalled and reinstalled hoping to clear those settings. The reinstallation succeeded until connecting to the home network when access is denied to everything I try to do.:badpc: Solutions please

2016-02-10 00:38:00 | Well all you have to do is reconfigure the router put a password in it. And reconnect the printer to it. If you can do it in its settings Dont think you had to reinstall/uninstall the printer drivers at all

The easiest way to set it back up is actually Via USB, most printers when installing have an option to set up wireless via USB, it works a lot better than other ways, as first the Computer has to connect to the Router, and then the Printer to the router. Once you reset the router, you'll need to reconnect the Printer. The IP address in the printer configuration may need to be reconfigured as well. |

2016-02-10 03:02:00 | Solutions please simple reset the printer to its defaults , you'll need to do that on the printer itself. uninstall all printer software Download new software from website & install dont use wifi on printer . Use USB to PC or network cable to router. If that doesnt work, expect some real pain trying to find a fix on a cheap printer . Good luck :)

2016-02-10 04:51:00 | Thats the EXACT printer I set up this afternoon via wireless. Its very easy. As 1101 posted- uninstall all software first. Heres each step. Make sure Computer is connected to the Router as it normally would be used, either Wireless or Ethernet, doesn't matter which. ( if Ethernet then you will need your wireless password) Run the Installer - Click next when prompted for each section - when the option appears, select Wireless. At another point it will ask how do you want to connect, either Via wireless OR setup Wireless Via USB. Select the USB, plug in a USB cable to the Printer /Computer The window will change, it will locate the wireless signal and show the SSID and its details ( network Name) make sure its the right one, and next -- It will load in the drivers and wireless settings, a window will advise to Now disconnect the USB, the install will carry on for a few moments -- Done. In the devices and Printers, you may have two printers, HP Deskjet 2540 Series & HP Deskjet 2540 Series (Network) The network should be set as default.
