1409982 2015-10-16 19:47:00 Who's making a profit from alarming us re "Global Warming?"

NZ Herald, Friday 16th October.

Another article re "climate change." More hyperbole. There's one common denominator, carbon dioxide.
All these so called experts predict dire results unless
the CO2 atmospheric content is reduced. That may be so but the obvious
is never, maybe rarely, mentioned. To be perfectly frank, trees need
CO2 to survive, for want of a better term, they inhale CO2 and exhale O2
If the powers that be could stop the wanton destruction of the
forests of the world, maybe we'd be able to forget Antarctic/Arctic ice
melting, rising oceans, violent storms, etc. Actually the warmer the
atmosphere the more water the sun will evaporate

1409983 2015-10-17 00:47:00 But nobody is suggesting there should be no CO2 in the atmosphere. That's impossible, unnecessary and totally pointless. The problem is too much. Over the last century mankind has released several million years accumulation of sequestered carbon as CO2. That's why we now have a problem. Jayess64 (8703)

What absolute nonsense.

Co2 in the atmosphere has remained the same at 400 parts per million for the last 100 years so we haven’t, despite our best efforts, changed anything, let alone releasing millions of years of carbon as co2.

What I want to know is where all the money from Carbon Tax and Carbon Trading is going?

Who is “Clipping the Ticket” because from what I can see the whole thing has the hallmarks of a Ponzi Scheme?

Volcanoes disgorge more CO2 than mankind and there is always at least one volcano blowing it's top somewhere all the time.

That's not to say that mankind is not contributing, but perhaps it is not such a problem as everyone makes out.

And what all about this talk of climate change? Climate change has happened many times over the last few million years. Perhaps it's just a natural process that mankind is helping along.

Wow, a whole 2.38ppm increase measured in only one place in the world and at Mauna Loa an active volcano to boot.

How convenient.

And I’d really like to talk to the guy that measured the world atmospheric Co2 with such accuracy 400,000 years ago. :D

Scary stuff, the CO2 levels have increased 100 parts per million in 400,000 years.

Big deal.

That's over one year . You were talking about the last hundred . If you had actually bothered to read the whole thing you would have seen the graph showing the change over the last 100 years .

Going to those politicians' pockets (directly or indirectly).

1409991 2015-10-17 07:33:00 I get sick of so called scientists saying that if things continue world tempertures "may" rise by 2 degrees and that sea levels may rise by 2 cm in the next 100 years.
I say, "they may not"

I also get sick of the term "Climate Change".

That means nothing.

Global warming I could understand (but not agree with)

Why don't the scientists come clean on CO2, its not a polutant (as were fluro carbons) but a vital component of our atmosphere.

Just plant more trees problem solved.
