However, If Win is activated on a working PC, via retail CD, at your own risk would you try & install it again & activate again on a spare HD. Here's what the MS Software Licence Terms says: Multiple Versions The software includes multiple versions (such as 32-bit and 64-bit versions), and you may install only one of those versions. |

The licence key will work on either 32 or 64 bit OS's. What it means is you have to select one or the other - Not both. Does NOT mean you can put on two installs, one 32 and the other 64. |

Does NOT mean you can put on two installs, one 32 and the other 64. That's what I thought, looks as though I'd need to buy W10 64 bit if I wanted to go that way. There doesn't seem any way to go from W8.1 32 bit to W10 64 bit for free. |

Choice either, change your mind & reload with other : OK It just not both at the same time Im not sure if your original win8 retail key will work with a Win10 install (install from downloaded ISO) Win8.1 key will work, not sure with win8 Anyway, MS doesnt care if you del 32bit & then load up the 64bit, Ive done it a few times . You are still only using the lic on the same PC .As long as you del the 32b version . Worst case, wipe HD, load 64Bit Win8, ug to Win8.1, ug to Win10 64b . MS do give some leway with reactivation |
