1410112 2015-11-08 19:53:00 I saw a bit on TV last night about a new Cancer drug targeting Melanoma and how Australia are using it free of charge, but it’s expensive and NZ can’t afford it.

Well I say that wasting $26M on a flag referendum would go a long way towards funding the drug, especially given we already know over 80% of the population are quite relaxed about our present flag.

Boy those Jerks in Parliament certainly know how to waste money. Our Money!

It's simply JK wants to change - and he is in POWER. Democracy is all bs.

Get used to it, its about to get alot worse.
Soon , NZ wont be allowed to import the much cheaper generic drugs (as per the new free trade deal) , so many drugs will
suddenly be deemed unafforadable .

I know where you’re coming from, but getting used to incompetence isn’t in my DNA. ;)

1410117 2015-11-22 03:08:00 Simply put CO2 has and never will be a pollutant. End. John D (1571)

And who claimed it was?
Plenty of claims about it contributing to climate change, 0 claims about it being a pollutant.

And in fact if you really delve into the arguments you'll find no scientist on any side of the argument is denying C02 causes global warming, the arguments are all about how much it's happening, whether we are making a significant impact on it, and if we can or should do anything about it. The fact that C02 is a greenhouse gas and essential for all life on the planet has never been in dispute.

1410119 2015-11-22 03:57:00 I think the confusion may arise because CO2 is often one by-product of pollution producing processes like burning fossil fuels such as coal.

I don't think anyone AFAIK claims it is a pollutant.

1410120 2015-11-22 20:56:00 Define pollutant .
One could argue there there arnt any pollutants, as everything came from the earth & is put back into the earth/environment . Its only a pollutant to us ,in our small scale time frame, not to the earth as a whole.
All we do is dig it up & re-introduce it into the system .

Or you can easily argue that CO2 is a pollutant

Just as Nitrates are a pollution, but also essential for life . Same sort of thing.
