Much like PCtek said earlier I think. So many of these debates and arguments I watch (and yes I followed a lot of the links here and several others as well) come back to what makes the most sense economically. Well I'm sorry but the worlds economy is not the primary factor in what's the right thing to do. That's like suggesting I just dump all my rubbish on my kitchen floor from now on because it's more economical than having it collected and taken away and the next owners of the house can deal with that after I'm gone. |

| 1410111 | 2015-11-08 19:41:00 | I don't really care what our flag looks like, but we are still a member of the commonwealth so I don't see what's so bad about our flag reflecting that. Personally I think people place far too much importance on symbols that only have meaning if we decide they do. In any case producing new flags probably contributes to our waste and emissions which would make it environmentally irresponsible. Change is inevitable, change for changes sake is largely irrelevant. The universe takes no notice of our flag. |
