558678 2007-06-13 03:52:00 Hi,
Recently I had - and still have "Publisher,2003, "unable to complete" come up when I use it.
Re installs have made no difference , I can open my sic.,pre made "business card" but not create a new one
A member of F1 visited and so far has not been able to fix it
In my searches and after seeing pctek state that a registry clean is better done manually, I went into the registry and found the above , which does not do a thing for me, and I wonder if an entry like this is causing my publisher request to fail
I want and will delete ---Soeperman Enterprizes Ltd--- actually spelt like you see it here - and being of a suspicious nature I want to delete it- and in so doing maybe , just maybe will get a glitch out of my Publisher- it does not give me any advice on what it is for, and if this is typical, can I find more like that?
What damage wil it do?
;)

558679 2007-06-13 04:32:00 Hi,
After doing a Google on this I see it is described as a "hijck this type of antispyware - to my knowledge I have not deleiberately downloaded this- although it must have been so done- and by me at that :xmouth:
What other "intrusions" would I look for that , like soeperman Enterprizes Ltd, could cause my current problem with publisher- and how on earth would I identify a manual search of the register to look for such
:nerd:

558680 2007-06-13 04:44:00 It is possible that the offending malware downloaded and installed itself on your system without your knowing which is highly possibly on Windows. Have you tried running HJT? winmacguy (3367)
558681 2007-06-13 04:58:00 Hi Winmacguy,
I thought I had every sensible scanner needed- what would hijack this do different?
Do you think I would be wrong to delete this ?

558682 2007-06-13 05:01:00 Not sure but it wouldn't hurt to run HJT just to check. winmacguy (3367)
558683 2007-06-13 05:14:00 Hi,
I downloaded and ran hijack this- and boy oh boy! what a list-plus a warning that what I identify and / or delete, I cannot get back
How would I get this to display for you to analyse?
I don't see where I can copy and send to you

558684 2007-06-13 05:15:00 Hi,

I want and will delete ---Soeperman Enterprizes Ltd--- actually spelt like you see it here - and being of a suspicious nature I want to delete it- and in so doing maybe , just maybe will get a glitch out of my Publisher-

Is it actually spelt like that? Changing it to Enterprises gets a more likely list of associated programs, "StartupList" "CWShredder" "Hijackthis". Ring any bells?

Just blindly deleting registry items could get the go out of every thing.

558685 2007-06-13 05:34:00 Hi PaulD,
Ha ! and I thought I was well educated- yes, enterprises instead of enterpriZes could have ---but in fact did not make any change in the search
I have hijack this installed and it has found a ginormous number of files, some sayin "no file" and others roughly connected to the programs in my pooter---PLUS a dire warning to NOT delete anything without a knowledgeable person being availalble

558686 2007-06-13 07:13:00 I have hijack this installed

If you check the file properties of the HJT exe file you'll find that it is produced by Soeperman Enterprises. Maybe that's Merijn Bellekom's business name. He's recently sold HJT to Trend Micro.

558687 2007-06-13 07:44:00 effie c, HiJackThis will list EVERY running process, both the good and the bad.

The bad (if any) will only be one or two, the good (and required) will be dozens. You have to know which is which, as if you delete a required one, there goes your Windows installation.
