| 559134 | 2007-06-16 20:26:00 | Hello again Now I lost all connection. I can ping the router/modem ok. Have deinstalled the network card and reinstalled -no difference. I can not ping the own ip nor the ip from the wireless machine. Also I can not see the router in the network connections. If I type ip config in the prompt window I get one line with a question mark. Also I had to clear some stuff like hidn.exe, m-hook.sys and drv_st_key which I obviously got in at some stage. From this machine which is on a wireless connection to the same router all works perfect. I desperatly need some suggestions. Thanks NT |

| 559135 | 2007-06-16 20:31:00 | image the system as a backup then extract the product key and run a 'repair install' that is often a good 'cure-all' and it cant hurt.......and it'll only take you 40mins to do the repair install and depending on the amount of data on the system maybe half an hour to 40mins to run an image onto a spare drive or another partition..... |

| 559138 | 2007-06-16 21:14:00 | In cmd prompt type - netsh winsock reset catalog Enter and restart computer Thanks Done that-no success. Something that confuses me is that when I type in ipconfig, I get a strange thing: first line ip address: that's ok second line subnett: that's ok then again ip address: with a question mark then default gateway: that's ok Somewhere there must be a persisting setting, which is obviously wrong to create that question mark |

Is this not frustrating, as it works right now again, still I can't see the router in the network connections. And the question mark in the ipconfig is still there. I will most likely go to your next suggestion as I spend way more hours then what a repair install would take. Say, with e repair install would I have to reinstall all the fixes and windows updates and so on after the SP2(as I got that CD), or not? Thanks DRCSPY NT |
