| 560293 | 2007-06-17 22:47:00 | Hi, I am frustated , - have had no contact with an offer to help, and though not crucial to my well being, I would love to get any other unnecessary files cleared out- if there are any left, and in so doing get my Publisher comment "Publisher cannot complete progam" fault corrected-hopefully :dogeye: When I pasted the hijack file-to stu161204 for editing, prior to onsend to Speedy, the time taken to paste seemed far less than that time that it was posted to F1 direct- would I have had less files saved for pasteing than I need? Therefore are there files still awaiting deletion? Why this is asked, is Stu's address included hotmail which has a limit on how big a file can be taken on board ( and it sure was big)- could he have not got the lot? effie c |

| 560294 | 2007-06-17 23:11:00 | What I told u to tick wouldnt have killed Nortons . As none of the entries I posted belonged to Nortons . I take it, you're talking about this post ( . pcworld . co . nz/showthread . php?t=80180" target="_blank">pressf1 . pcworld . co . nz) It looks like Stu posted all of the log . And I dont think anything in that log has anything to do with Publisher not working . Uninstall /reinstall / repair Publisher / Office . |

| 560295 | 2007-06-17 23:27:00 | Hi Speedy, Thank you - thanks to you I got rid of 400000 files out of 1 . 3,000000- and so apparently I do not need to worry -but gained no h/d space at that and as to uninstall and re install-Publisher, I have done that 3 times, including installing to my D Drive ( 1 h/d partitioned),and back to C drive after advisement that I could not install to D Drive, and all, after searching every registry entry, by hand, and by Reg Seeker etc and supposedly having a virgin install each time . so it looks as if my fault lies deeper . It is not crucial as I have said ( I can work around the problem, really,if I have to) but as it is there I wanted to correct it ( to stop pooter boredom ? :badpc: Thank you all,, I shall leave it at that:lol: effie c |

| 560296 | 2007-06-18 00:18:00 | Speaking of boredom, after a bit of googling there were only a few Pub 2003 cases sounding like yours. One involved all Office 2003 programs and the other more likely one was a permissions issue where the Admin account worked and the user account didn't. Have you tried logging on as admin and trying Pub? PS Why is this problem scattered over so many posts? Why not add to the original? |
