560016 2007-06-17 08:03:00 Does anyone know of any good media players for windows besides Winamp & Windows media player? ( getting a bit bored of winamp ;) ) Adamnz (12260)
560017 2007-06-17 08:05:00 iTunes/Quicktime for Windows if you like it, possibly Real Media player. I would imagine that there are a few good opensource freebees around if you don''t like either of those two. You could try this site www.free-codecs.com winmacguy (3367)
560018 2007-06-17 08:17:00 There's Jetaudio (http://www.Jetaudio.com)

There's a free version, and a + version, (you have to pay for) which has a few extras in it.

560019 2007-06-17 08:19:00 NO!! not iTunes/Quicktime it installs crap on your system! I once had to use iTunes to load a friends iPod with her music (parents brought it and didn't know any better  ) so what did I do? I fired up a virtual machine and loaded XP on it and used that to load her iPod just so my system wouldn't get infected with that rubbish :yuck:

Quintessential Player and Foobar 2000 are ones I have heard of, but not used so can't say much about them...

That would be why I said "if you like it" but considering how much crap gets on your system when you use Windows, I would say that would be irrelevant . . ;)

560021 2007-06-17 09:24:00 Which is why most of the stuff that is not needed I have removed and why install iTunes and add MORE? The_End_Of_Reality (334)

You are a terrible person and should be hanged, drawn and quartered.

Foobar is a nice player.

560024 2007-06-17 10:21:00 foobar2000 audio player, the only one worth bothering with, a number of very useful features (say no more) not immediately obvious but indispensable. I really like the tabbed interface. Tip: make the background green ala old version WinAmp 2.91 zqwerty (97)

Foobar is a nice player.

I would have mentioned it if I had known about it.
