559941 2007-06-17 05:03:00 This is a no brainer but, how does one connect the desk monitor up to a lap top, should the monitor installation disc come into play? Thanks, Ross sthsea (8236)
559942 2007-06-17 05:08:00 There's more than likely a key combination that activates the video output. On mine, it's Function-F5. roddy_boy (4115)
559943 2007-06-17 06:39:00 Can you tell us what graphic chip the laptop uses?

Generally (if using windows) right click on the desktop and choose properties. Click on the settings tab, and there should be a two boxes numbered 1 and 2 (signifying 2 monitors). Right click on monitor 2 and choose enable.

Your graphics driver will also be able to do this from its control panel.

the install disk may be needed to get the best performance out of your monitor...

You should of course 'Extend your Desktop' when in Display Settings...
