559765 2007-06-16 08:38:00 Hi all

There used to be a menu like "thing" in the left hand side of the explorer window where I could for example run pictures as a slide show or play music files.

When clicking on the folders button, the folder tree would then appear.

Hope I am making some sense here, but the menu is gone now and I would like it back.
Any ideas out there?

Thanks

F

559766 2007-06-16 08:52:00 Is the folder tree still there? If so you need to re-click the folder button for that to disappear and it should be back to the menu that you want The_End_Of_Reality (334)

Hi

the folder tree is there when I click the folders button and the folder tree disappears when I click it again. Just no other menu takes its place.

Forgot to mention Windows XP Pro

Cheers

559768 2007-06-16 09:24:00 OK, in the menu bar up top, click Tools > Folder Options and under the General tab there is small catagory called Tasks, and has two options, "Show Common Tasks in Folders" and "Use Windows Classic Folders" this should be set to "Show Common Tasks in Folders" so check it and click Apply then OK and it should be fixed The_End_Of_Reality (334)
