| 560309 | 2007-06-17 23:48:00 | Windows XP Home new install can't install Microsoft Encarta 2006 error Microsoft .Net Framework install failed. I downloaded & installed the new version of Microsoft .Net Framework but still get the same error. Can anyone assist me with this? |

| 560311 | 2007-06-17 23:51:00 | What version of .Net framework does it need? 1 2 or 3?? If 1, I dont think 3 includes 1, so you'll have to dl v1 and the updates. Only thing with the .Net framework files is so I found out, (last time I tried to install the ATI drivers), if u install them in the wrong order, u cant uninstall the latest and install v1. It wont let u. Only way to fix it, is to reinstall Windows. |

| 560313 | 2007-06-18 00:13:00 | What id do is a 'custom' windows update, then look at the optional updates. install .net 1.1, and any security updates, then reboot, do it again but get any .net 2.0 and any security updates... and make sure you have all the normal security updates on too. I'm not sure if it will work or not... apart from that u could try a repair reinstall.. but as speedy said..often if it's really stuffed it needs a full reinstall to fix it! good luck:nerd: | wratterus (105) | ||
