559789 2007-06-16 10:40:00 I recently sold my previous computer to a friend and I changed the computer administators name to the new owner OK BUT it hasn't automatically replaced my name with my friends in Docs and Settings . The computer is running Windows XP Pro with SP2 .
The setting I want to change is
C\Documents and Settings\My Name|My Documents - with flow through to all folders.

I am quite sure there is a simple way to correct this so I would be greatful if someone could tell me what it is please. Thanks.

559790 2007-06-16 10:46:00 There is no way to change those folders. They are system folders and unable to be renamed.

You could create a new admin user, which will create a new set of folders, then delete the old user. All data in the old folders will be lost.

559792 2007-06-16 11:31:00 All data in the old folders will be lost.Except if you copy the data from the old profile to the new one first. You can find instructions on how to do this here (support.microsoft.com). Note the comment about copying over emails. Jen (38)
