| 559771 | 2007-06-16 10:16:00 | Reinstalled XP on this notebook but could not find the audio driver. Searched their website but there isn't any driver for XP. Everest Home identified it as: Intel Qsound Sigma Tel Stac97 Audio Controller. Could someone point me to the correct direction? Cheers |

IIRC its just el-standard AC '97 modified slightly They all identified it as Intel QSound SigmaTel Stac97 Audio controller. Found a driver which works but generates a problem with starting Windows: when I 'Restart' Windows, it shuts down Windows and reloads Windows but halts halfway through the process. I got to shut it down by pressing the power button. Then, when I press the power button to start Windows again, it starts normally. Otherewise, everything works fine. Any suggestions? |
