| 561137 | 2007-06-20 23:12:00 | I noticed in another thread someone looking for alternative search engines to google. Google can't find everything but it seems to be the one people know the best. I personally rarely use it. Different search engines search in different ways so you will get different results by using more than one some times. I used to run a FAQ on search engines on Usenet about 10-12 years ago as the search engines evolved from Veronica and Archie that I used to use in 1992-94. Try some of these. http://hotbot.com http://ask.com http://www.altavista.com/ http://www.dogpile.com/ http://www.mamma.com/ http://www.teara.govt.nz/ http://en.wikipedia.org http://searchenginewatch.com/ www.leidenuniv.nl There are lots that search for specific things like images, video, science, space, school stuff, encylopedia, dictionary etc etc and some of the stuff they can find google would not. I use a URL Catalogue program instead of bookmarks, it has hundreds of URL's for various search purposes stored in it. I hope this helps some of you. |

The mod was for Ancestral Recall, and we're after the runewords for the mod. Gone through over 50 pages in google, no joy. Any ideas on how to ask? |
