561029 2007-06-20 11:17:00 If youre using XP is IPv6 installed? I dont think its installed by default.

Are we talking about XP??

561030 2007-06-20 11:25:00 Not sure, I don't use Windows. However, you could probably narrow down whether it is your internet connection or the computer by looking to see how long your modem has been connected for. Mine randomly disconnects as well, the last time was 4:49:23 ago. Therefore, in my case, it is definitely the connection, not my network or computer. maccrazy (6741)
561031 2007-06-20 11:26:00 im using windows vista, not even sure what ipv6 means, i have windows xp installed on this hard drive too but dont use it, what should i do? any ideas? thanks lisamarie01 (6731)
561032 2007-06-20 11:27:00 modem has only been connected 34 mins so looks like my modem connection, i have been trying to download something from tvnzondemand and it keeps loosing connection and asking me to retry, also getting errors on microsoft outlook when it tries to automatically download my emails it cant connect so i have to keep restarting that too, so its definatly my connection to the internet. lisamarie01 (6731)
561033 2007-06-20 11:50:00 Have a read of the IPV6 FAQ (www.microsoft.com)

I would say its whatever you're using to get on the net wirelessly. The router or access point, or whatever you've got.

561034 2007-06-20 13:20:00 So the router or the access point cant find and resolve IPV6 addresses. A good point to investigate because I read that more and more addresses are going to be IPV6 because they are really running out of the older version (forgot the name:D) so maybe just a firmware upgrade would be required. beeswax34 (63)
