GhostBuster (10141) | ||
| 560878 | 2007-06-20 06:04:00 | Trusted installer.exe is connected to the WindowsModuleInstaller which in turn is connected to Windows Update. I've read quite a few forums where users have been experiencing the same problem. Fixes include lowering the priority of TrustedInstaller.exe, uninstalling windows OneCare (if you're using it), disabling Windows Defender and finally there's the "Just leave it and it will eventually stop hogging your CPU" fix. So in essence there really isn't a "FIX" for this problem, just looks like it's another bad piece of coding on the part of MS. Google for it and you may find a few more hints and tips to get rid of the problem. Cheers |
