Use what ever you want, there have been numerous suitable alternatives discussed endlessly in previous forum posts.
On a side note, MS is about to kill MS Office 2003 to force everybody to use Office 2007.:D

560851 2007-06-20 04:19:00 Hey...look..some of us LIKE WMP10..it floats my boat, does what I want and I like the little album covers too. They go good in my new Sansa c240.

If we wanted to be chastised for using WMP..the title of the post might be: "Beat Me, Hurt Me...I Use WMP10!"...but it didn't say that at all.

All I want is a hint on how to get rid of the OTHER bugger...present company included.

You might have to try looking WMP under settings for turning off Media Player updates .

They are stopping it from production, not dissallowing people to use it. They are still going to support it until 2009. What's strange about that?? It's normal, when an updated piece of software is released, the old ones are slowly phased out. I personally use Office 2007 and have found it to be very good, a big step up from 2003. Why would anyone who is buying 'new' software want to get something 4 years old??:annoyed:

Because a lot of people using Office 2000 and 2003 find that they do all that is required, all staff are happy with the applications and there is no need to "upgrade" to something just because it looks flashy but doesn't offer a greater return on investment.
