2007-06-18 09:15:00 | Bought this Dynalink WLG-25 Cardbus PCMCIA wireless Adapter for my old notebook. Installed the driver but could not connect to my 3Com OfficeConnect ADSL wireless Router and also my friend's Linksys WAG54G ADSL Router. It could however, connect to my friend's Linksys WRT54G router. All the above 3 routers have 2 or 3 other wireless computers connected to it without any problem. All settings are double-checked and are believed to be OK. This is the only Dynalink card used in the 3 wireless networks. Is there a known compatibility problem with this WLG-25 card? Tried to installed it to another Notebook but having the same problem. Tried using both Windows wireless and Dynalink's wireless utility but all produce same result. Checked Dynalink's website but found nothing relating to this problem. All views and suggestions are appreciated. Cheers

2007-06-18 10:25:00 | you checked the filter on the access point? may have it needing a mac address before it will allow that notebook access? | LazDang (12427) | |
2007-06-18 13:03:00 | Is the network in a infrastructure or Ad-Hoc mode and I know it sounds silly but are you sure that a password is not enabled and/or the password you are entering is correct? | beeswax34 (63) | |
2007-06-18 22:50:00 | Is the network in a infrastructure or Ad-Hoc mode and I know it sounds silly but are you sure that a password is not enabled and/or the password you are entering is correct? It's infrastructure mode, have checked many times that the WPA preshared key is 100% correct. Entered the MAC address, checked and checked that it is correct but just could not connect! :badpc: All other computers connected without any problem except this one! But it connects to the Linksys WRT54G smoothly, therefore I can't say that this WLG25 is faulty and return it to the supplier. What shall I do next?

2007-06-20 02:09:00 | After going through the configuring process once more and found that the problem is that this card incorrectly detects the security settings of my router! My router is configured as WPA -PSK but this card detects it as WEP. Disabled the security and it connects OK. MAC filtering is the only guard for this wireless network for the time being. Or, maybe, it's good enough for a home network?! Does any Dynalink WLG25 users having the same problem?

2007-06-20 02:36:00 | Does the card support wpa-psk?, maybe a driver update will help? | SolMiester (139) | |
2007-06-20 02:53:00 | The Model is 100% correct. It is in the website. It surely supports WPA PSK as it connects to my friend's Linksys WRT54G router (with WPA - PSK with MAC filtering enabled) without any problem.
