561045 2007-06-21 02:37:00 Try BOclean then, (in my sog).

Its meant to run in the background and there's a lot of trojans etc in its database. After u install it, it'll say theres an update. Get the update as well. See if it picks this trojan up.

Then as stated here already kill System restore. Disable it, then u may have to boot into safe mode and add yourself to the SR folders (on every hdd, if u have more than 1 hdd) then delete everything in the System restore folder.

Then reboot.

561048 2007-06-21 06:02:00 Killed SR,ran Avast, picked up 1 installation, ran trojan remover.cleaned out SR,installed BOclean shutdown and restarted, downloaded the application then installed it.It has been a long process but I guess SR was the culprit for most of it. kjaada (253)

561050 2007-06-21 07:22:00 lol, well its still on here.

I might kill it soon.

But you're right, the only thing SR does is store trojans / malware in it.

I have a pc to exorcise for a friend next week...the screen flashes and the sound card screams at her. I yelled at her a year ago to run Belarc...MAYBE she did..but if not..well too-bad! I'm not giving her a copy of XP for free. :groan:

Ya can't help people (sometimes) who won't help themselves. :xmouth:

NEXT MONTH: Tirades about Internet Exploder.
