562283 2007-06-24 01:11:00 Hi all

For the second time in the last six months, my XP machine has developed a BSOD issue .

On startup I get a system32 / config . sys corrupt error .
So tried to boot up using XP CD . Trying a Repair Install I get BSOD Stop 0x24 error - NTFS problem . So tried to start recovery console to use CHKDSK . This gives me a Stop error 0x50 - Page fault in Non Paged Area .

Can some one help me sort this out . Yelling at the monitor has not seen much progress .

Thanks

562285 2007-06-24 02:13:00 There are repair tools on Google but you may require a linux bootable, such as Knoppix or PCLinuxOS to do anything unless you have access to another puter to download repair tools and transfer to a CD or floppy.Good idea to have a linux bootable handy for these type of things if they occure. kjaada (253)
