| 561465 | 2007-06-22 00:32:00 | I have this very strange problem here at work today which I can't figure out. One user is having a problem with one particular document. When he tries to open it, it crashes and then auto-recovers. He can't get into it to edit it - it crashes every time. I moved him to a different computer and he logged on as himself - same problem. I logged him on as a different user - same problem. He can open any other document without this problem. So at this point I thought the doument was corrupt - BUT all the other users (including myself) can open & edit this document without problem. I thought it could have been a problem with Word 2002 but a couple of other users are using 2002 and have no problems with the document. It was created in 2002. Anything else that could cause this problem that I've overlooked? Thanks guys Susan |

| 561467 | 2007-06-22 01:20:00 | There are macros in it - we work with macros & templaes regularly here at work. It's also 57 pages long. | susann (12077) | ||
| 561468 | 2007-06-22 02:34:00 | The file is obviously stored on a file server? What happens if you copy the document to the users desktop and try open it from there? |

| 561470 | 2007-06-22 02:39:00 | Open the file as a user that it works for and copy and paste the entire thing into a new, blank word document, save it then see if the problem user can open this new doc. | CYaBro (73) | ||
