561601 2007-06-22 09:23:00 may be telling us what ISP you signed up with and the name of that plan might help with confusion. Because you might be on a 2megabit connection and confusing the download speeds with the connection speed. If you take that 2085kbps and divide that by 8 you will see it is pretty close to 256. kennie (10559)
561602 2007-06-22 12:03:00 my plan (PDQ Launch) reads 256kbps download and 128kbps upload and the meter read:
Download- 2085kbps
Upload - 127kbps

But I fear the "end of the golden weather" is here as we have plummeted in speed tonight to:
Download - 242kbps
Upload - 122kbps

We must have been incorrectly conected to the next plan up from ours (PDQ Turbo)

oh well it was nice while it lasted......

561604 2007-06-23 05:02:00 After such an amazing time yesterday at "Turbo" speed; today seems sooooooooo slow......
I can't even believe that I coped with dial up for so long :(
It may have been a marketing ploy and a very clever one too as I am thinking of up grading!

561605 2007-06-23 09:27:00 Hey don't tell them. I signed up for max to the roof but only get 1450 kbps. Some win, some lose! Fishb8 (484)

561607 2007-07-28 02:59:00 Amazing.
I just changed my old modem for a D-Link DSL-502T router. With the old modem, I was getting 2000KBps download and about 700Kbps upload. The first couple of tests on the new router gave 5070/703 and 5 minutes later it gave 1355/725.

561608 2007-07-28 03:08:00 This happens a LOT on a certain broadband providers plan that I'm on. It's great because I've pushed 3mbits happily.

Others on the plan encounter it too XD
