2007-06-28 13:10:00 | i think nothing will change.. still the same old telecom.. lie to us about everything and doing nothing. Gattung has been unleashed wow :badpc: :badpc:... now we can get real boardband.. but but i guess this new CEO doesn't have this in mind... just help us with separation and you are done here. :help: :help: :help: | AMD (11356) | |
2007-06-29 05:21:00 | Yes, he will still have those goddam shareholders to answer to. But why can't they invest the money on fibre and VDSL and then charge us for it. Surely if we really want good broadband then we will pay for it ! Regards Digby

2007-06-29 22:52:00 | The last time they employed someone from BT to run Telecom he became a hatchet man who's sole aim was to cut staff and costs.. There's not much fat left in the acutual workers in Telecom these days.. | paulw (1826) | |
2007-07-01 09:04:00 | Troughton wasn't as bad as the Deane/Benson combo. Deane's view was that Telecom should be a corporate office with everything else contracted out. | PaulD (232) | |
2007-07-01 12:46:00 | With the amount of money that Telecom extorts from its customers, there should be no need for shareholders, and that would negate the need for them to keep waffling on about them all the time when the question of investment in modern telecommunications infrastructure comes up. Frankly I am tired of hearing about how the shareholders have to take number one position. If it wasn't for the paying customers, there would be no requirement for shareholders as there wouldn't be a company!

2007-07-02 09:03:00 | The heading is misleading - I have not re-read the article, but recall clearly that whilst he is going to live in Auckland, however he has signalled that he has no plans to move the Head Office from Wellington. Misty :(
