| 562755 | 2007-06-25 09:32:00 | a week or so ago after turning on my laptop the icons of internet programs had lost their shadows (shadows are inverted, white instead of black) , this had happened once before but went away after a few days, but this time its not going away, so what is causing this and what can i do to fix it. OS: Windows vista home premium computer: acer aspire 5101(6 months old) Graphics Card: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 256 MB |

Otherwise check the settings in right-click Computer > "Advanced System Settings" > Performance "Settings" button and near the bottom is the option "Use drop shadows for icons on the desktop". | sal (67) | ||
| 562757 | 2007-06-25 14:03:00 | all of the boxes in the performance settings are ticked, and still the same problem, i even tried going from best performance settings back to windows settings and nothing changed apart from when it was in the best performance settings the problem went away. | spaceman8815 (4112) | ||
