I dont need a huge amount of download capacity and would prefer to pay for good quality fast bb rather than huge data allowances. I would recommend xnet or orcon/kol in that case :) KOL has a good 10GB plan. |

| 563931 | 2007-07-01 13:34:00 | I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. I have been having a terrible connection with Slingshot for the past few days. I have rung their technical helpdek many times, and have *never* made it through to anyone. The only chance of ever speaking to anyone is to choose the option of going through to the sales desk (which is a completely different department who know absolutely nothing technical). I actually am beginning to suspect that there is no one at all in the technical department. They never even reply to emails sent to them - not even 1 or 2 weeks later. I got so frustrated one afternoon that I rang the sales department for Slingshot and was told by one of them that instead of sending all the customers wanting technical support away angry (clearly I wasn't the first person to resort to ringing the sales team in order to talk to someone), they would send an email themselves to the technical team, with my email address and phone number and they would ring me back. What a joke - I gave this 0% chance of happening at the time. I won't be renewing my monthly account with Slingshot when it expires. |

| 563932 | 2007-07-01 22:53:00 | Just to add my two pence worth. I have been with the same ISP for years, Netaccess in Christchurch which is now Snap Internet. Whenever I have needed assistance or had a query the support people have been very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous and almost without fail answer a call within 10 rings. All email to the company is logged and a message is sent to say so and how it will be attended to. One can't ask for better than that. JonB |

JonBSlingshot is similar, in that once you send an email, they send you one back saying your issue has been noted. An then a month later (on average, I kid you not) you generally receive a reply saying your problem has been remedied, or the problem is beyond their control. |
