| 563877 | 2007-06-28 03:41:00 | To my memory, Hi8 only can output via analog. To capture there are 2 ways. Either buy a capture box which sits between the camcorder and computer and converts the input to digital (eg Pinnacle make one) or, the cheapest way is to find someone with a Digital camcorder which can use pass through recording. This could be any of them, but not necessariy all of them, which are Digital 8 tape or MiniDV tape. Digital tape camcorders output/capture using Firewire, not USB Ken |
