You have to clear Simple file sharing (tools / folder options / view tab, after u run My computer). For the security tab to appear. Only thing is, if you're on a network and u untick simple file sharing, you'll have to add yourself to the other PC (and vice versa). And I would say if you have no other users on the PC, there's no point in going here. Thankyou Senor Gonzales I see what you mean now. It woulds seem to be a lot simpler to keep any sensitive files on my portable drive thats in my breifcase. Thanks for the advice, something else learned today. Cheers HH |

| 563803 | 2007-06-29 05:24:00 | Hi Guys I had some sensitive/important files backed up on to portable hard drives which I kept in my car. They have gone fine for a few months and now two of them have died. I am not sure if it is the cold at night or the vibrations. Regards Digby |
